Crowder Bros. Hardware has been a family-owned and operated business. We know Florida and what the people who live and work here need.

We opened our first store in Sarasota, Florida in 1955 and expanded in the Tampa Bay area. John and Chester Crowder brothers established the brand.  The Bradenton location opened its doors about a year later and formed the base of operations for years to come.

In the 1970’s Chester retired to a life of leisure and traveled the country in his airstream trailer settling in Texas where he retired and spent his best days.

John Crowder, on the other hand, kept working diligently becoming known in the hardware industry as an innovator and marketer.  He grew to eleven successful stores when he passed in 1988.

Through the years our family has grown and so has our locations. Crowder Bros. hardware is a True Value affiliate offering trusted quality and service. We have stores in Spring Hill, St. Pete Beach, and St. Pete Central Avenue (Opening December 1st, 2020).

Our staff is passionate about serving customers. By listening to your needs we provide expert knowledge combined with practical advice and in-stock products.
